It’s funny how my Monday weights are never as “low” as they perhaps were at a previous part of the week. Makes me want to report my lowest weight of the week and not necessarily the weight I had on Monday. But, as Katie said in a previous posting’s comment, reaching a weight once and then experiencing a brief upward bounce just means that I am “almost” ready to weigh that new low. But, as of today’s weigh-in, I weigh 194. That’s still great! It means I lost three pounds this past week, and that is an awesome pace to have, even if only temporary. At that rate, I should have no problem reaching my 100 pounds goal by January 1, 2011.
It’s funny how a couple of months ago, before I started counting my calories and being a bit more accountable for what I ate, I was worried about making the goal. I kept yo-yo-ing up and down the same couple of pounds. Now, it seems like each week I am reporting a weight loss, even if it is just a pound. I don’t mind only one pound a week. My ideal is two pounds per week, but if one week reports only one pound lost, I don’t mind at all. In fact, I can only lose one pound a week for the remainder of the year and still easily make my goal. I just checked the calendar and there are 31 more weeks left in the year and I only need to lose 26 more pounds to achieve my goal.
And, I’m not going to hold myself to it, but using my little internal calculator, I’ve just estimated that my 100 pounds will be gone before the end of August if I continue losing two pounds per week!

3 pounds this week? Wow! I like how you laid it all out, looking at the rest of the year. It looks easily achievable. Maybe I ought to do that, look at how long it will take me. I’m working on settling in and taking it one month at a time instead of 1 week at a time since things are slowing down for me. Hmm…you’ve made me think. Thanks!
Congratulations on your progress! That’s fantastic. I lost 100 pounds and I found that the closer I got to my goal weight, the slower the pounds came off. I had a lot more plateaus and it was harder to see a loss. But keep at it!
Awesome job!!! Keep up the great work! You are doing GREAT!!!!
