I need to keep this one short, so that I can keep the promise to myself to get to bed early tonight, but wanted to report that this morning I weighed 200, for a large 3-lb loss from last week at the same time. All seven of the previous days food journal were good for me, more balanced in intake from the proteins, carbs and fats groups as are recommended. The range in caloric intake from the previous seven days was a low of 1263 and a high of 1401. Everything was well in line, and I like the results.

That period of time I spent below the 200 mark was short-lived, but never fear, I will soon return!

Today I went through the exercise of going through my “shorts” drawer. We’re finally getting some weather in Wisconsin that is worthy of wearing shorts. I am happy to report that I was able to cast away eight pair of shorts that I plan on never fitting into again. In fact, I’m donating them to Goodwill to rid myself of the reliance on bigger clothes. I am also fitting into more shorts that had been handed down to me in years past that I was too ashamed to admit did not fit. And they look pretty good on me now — no bulging seams or stretched pleats. There was even a size 14 (it had to be a big 14, because I am still in 18’s mostly) that fit me!

I also did the same thing with my closet last week. I have two huge bags full of clothes in the 2X and 3X sizes that I am also donating. :)

I’m always excited when I see a “magical” lower number on the scale, even if my weight hops back up again, because it shows big progress. I figure, the scale wouldn’t have dipped down to that lower number if my body wasn’t ALMOST ready to be there!

You’re right Katie. I was back at 199 this morning so I’m realizing that the 199 was real and not just a teaser. I’m “ready” to be at 168, but I don’t think my body is — ha ha!
