Yay for me! After two months of not meeting my monthly goals, I met the one I had for March — even beat it and kept the lost pounds off!

At the beginning of March I weighed 215 and my goal was to be at 208 by the end of the month. Well, this morning I saw 206 on the scale! Since I am on a roll, I’d like to aim high for April, but knowing that Easter feast, my 40th birthday, and another family birthday celebration are all in the next month, there will be plenty of opportunities to fall short of goals. So, I am going to make my goal for April be five pounds. I’d love to make it seven, since the end result would bring me under the 200-pound mark, but five sounds more reasonable and do-able. (Secretly I’ll still be wishing for a weight of 199 by the end of April!)

Other reflections on end-of-month goals (or shall I say AIMS) –

At the beginning of the month I said I would “aim” for more cardio in my workouts and more outdoor exercise with the dog. I regret to say that I didn’t work out on the treadmill tons this month (actually, I could probably count on one hand, with maybe an extra finger or two, the number of times that puppy’s belt whirled around) but I’m happy to say the dog was well-exercised this month! Now granted, most of the times I took the dog I also took my two-year-old, so the speed with which we walked was not anything to brag about, but nevertheless, we got some exercise outside in the fresh air and sunshine.

Bring on April!
